I've been for finishing the job from the beginning. So no, we should not be thinking about leaving.

The thing about war most people don't understand is it's not supposed to go well. The international bankers and Federal Reserve Bank owned/started by the Rockefellers, J.P. Morgan and others don't want a clear winner. This way, more money is to be made when both sides are taking each other out. Just as in Vietnam, these families love that the war was unstable then new equipment in the form of tanks, guns, armor, bombs, planes need to be constantly replaced, hence, more money passes hands and the Federal Reserve gets to keep loaning money to the government. A good example of this is how Prescot Bush loaned money to the Nazis in WW2 through his bank.
Once Americans understand this, they will understand the real truth.
A good video that is now going around and gets to the bare-truth is as follows:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5547481422995115331&q=zeitgeist+movie&total=380&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=1
Only when you feel you are ready for the truth, should you watch the above video as it can be very overwhelming and just plain, sick.
The revolution is coming, will you be ready?
Peace

It's not "almost unanimous" -- two private journalists have said they think some progress is being made -- and they're not experts. And most other people disagree with them.
And yes, we should be thinking about withdrawing our troops -- because it's going to take most of a year from the point we actually give the order.
So, if we don't at least think and plan for doing it -- when we decide to actually do it, it'll be at least two years out before its done. Thats the kind of short-sightedness that has constantly plagued us so far.

I think things are improving in Iraq. Leaving now would waste all the hard work we put into it though. You don't leave a job half (probably much less) done and then expect it to be finished by someone else.
Iraq is not fixed. Their govt, army, and police forces still have corruption and religious issues and are not strong enough to stand on their own. If things continue to improve and Iraq starts to take the lead in things then we can think about leaving. We need to be backing them up not them backing us up.

The only people who are claiming things are getting better are people appointed by Bush.
FACT: 89% of Iraqi citizen's want the US to leave YESTERDAY !
So who cares what you or I, or Bush or congress thinks...
So are they a sovereign nation ?...or not ?

No, unless we are losing we should not think about retreating, and we can't lose to a scattered insurgency. I'm glad to see positive reports, but it's too soon to confirm the strategy is working.

Care to be a bit more specific with the claim that things are improving?
If they ARE getting better, you should have NO trouble providing specifics.
