Latency in Macbook Pro..?

Question

So, I'm using a Windows computer, and I finally decided it was time for a Mac, because everyone I know who has a Mac has no problem with media production. Now, one of the biggest things I'm worried about is latency with MIDI. This, of course, isn't the only reason I'm switching from Windows, but if I get a MacBook Pro, can I expect much lower latency? Thank you very much for any help you can provide.

well doesn't that depends on the hardware ur using to convert midi to usb ?
