Could you manipulate a persons name to highlight an obvious Jewish name?

Try ridiculing some Jews in the same way the Obama is 'ridiculed' as a Muslim - that is, pick some Christian who has a Jewish-sounding name, or one Jewish parent, and insinuate that, because of that heritage, he'll favor Israel in international politics.
I'm guessing you won't exactly be taken out and shot for it.

You have to realize that muslim leaders are very smart and like everything, you have assholes and crazies (like in our beautiful country). Obama wasn't raised as a muslim but he was in a country where Islam is the main religion. He never turned down Islam. But the fact that he knows Islam (bush doesn't even know what that is), will probably make him be liked by the muslim world. We couldn't ask for anything better. Diplomacy before bombing is the least we can ask from our leaders!!

I don't think Shalom is Ben Bernanke's middle name, but I don't think it is ridicule or an insult. If it makes you feel better why don't you call him Shalom. Is Obama's middle name Hussein? If it is, how is it ridicule. Regardless, he is an appeasing Chamberlin whose politics support radical Islamic states by lack of action. Even Hilary ripped him apart for his immaturity and weak position on anti-terrorism.

Because people in this country need to remember that it was Muslim extremists that attacked this country on Sept. 11th
The idea that ANYONE in this nation would want to elect a man to be president of this nation that is associted in any way with those people is revolting

Ps: in answer to an eailer post it is not an irrational fear -- remember that Islam teaches that in order to secure your place in Heaven you must seek out and kill the infidel (that's everyone who is not a muslim)

Because so many people in the US have a rabid irrational hatred and fear of all Muslims (based on the actions of 1/100th of 1%) that the lesser action of merely being insulting pales in comparison.

the double standard exists because people let it exist. its horrible. muslims are suddenly fair game for a beating. ill tell you what i think, i saw it on tv, on "the west wing" and i thought it was great. a guy was asking a class of kids, "terrorists are to islam as --- is to christianity". the answer was "kkk"

...who cares that they call B. Hussein Obama... his name is part of who he is and part of his heritage, as long as he is not trying to "hide" anything... or misrepresent who he really is...

because it is okay to say whatever or type whatever you want. i don't know what planet you live on, but i cannot remember the last time Jews held protest rallies promising to murder all those who insult Judaism. name someone other that those cartoonists who will print images of mohammed, while God and Jesus are mocked daily across the globe, but Jews don't threaten to destroy those who do it.

it's not OK at all. Opposers to Obama are just trying out Bush's scare-tactics on potential voters by saying (oh my gosh!) that Obama's middle name is Saddam's last name.
What a stupid reason to change a vote though.
