I'd make that call in the context of game circumstances, with little or no consideration of the HR record that's at stake. This is a pennant race against the other GOOD teams in the division, not the Giants. Winning the games is what counts, not whether Bonds hits his big ones off of Dodger pitching.
However, I would REALLY prefer it if he didn't -- I live in northern CA, surrounded by Giants' fans, and I've got my fingers crossed that our pitchers have great games and that Bonds has one of his slumps!!!

Personally I'd walk him every time, but the game situation(s) may not make that a good move all the time. The Dodgers kept him hitless at AT&T Park after the all star break. I think if he does match and / or beat the record at the ravine then there should just be total silence, I think that would be more of a statement than booing. Imagine the TV highlights in years to come of him getting the record and the crowd is completely silent.

Would I pitch to Bonds? Sure. Why not? Besides, I would prefer to see him hit his dingers on the road and watch the torrent of boos than to have him do something like a splash-down in McCovey Cove and get cheers from the only fans in baseball who don't despise him.
Also, the Giants come to San Diego after the series in LA. And I sure as he!! don't want to see him get the record in San Diego.
Oh, and if I were on hand to witness 755 and 756 at Petco Park, I probably wouldn't say or do much. I would just want to hear for myself how the other fans react.

YES.I AM GIANTS FAN!!!!I would be bitchy at first then just calm down. You can't always control the swing of the bat.He has good hand eye coordination. So,that would bea plus for him.if he took steroids all the time, then how come he doesn't hit homeruns in every game he plays???Well I'm no Dodgers fan,REALLY!!!,but I would freak out a little. At least people will remember your name then because of it.It's the perfect way to build your reputation all over again.

Not only would I pitch to him, If I had a big lead I would serve one up to him. Make him break the record on the road. What a slap in the face of MLB this would be. He would be booed for at least 10-20mins.
And as we have all seen Hank Aaron and those two hippies round the bases for the last 33 years, how awesome it would be to watch Baroid to get booed for the next 30 or so years.
LA would be the best place to break the record, who hates the Giants and Barry anymore than they do.

They pitched to him up in San Fran, and nothing happened. So why should they walk him? He went 0-12 with a couple of strike outs. I'm not worried, but every time he comes up to bat I know every Dodger fan will be holding their breath
GO DODGERS!!

I'm not really a Dodgers fan but oh well.
I just wanted to say that I would just walk him. I don't want to physically hurt him, but I'm not supportive of him breaking the record either.

If my team was up big I would serve him a pitch to get my name in the record books.
