Did you hear her ask Tony Snow today if the selling of arms to Saudi Arabia is Bush's way of finacially advancing the Carlyle Group and the companies of the military industrial complex!?!?!?!

His reply was the regurgitation of the status quo..."We're helping our allies defend themselves." Or something along those usual lines!

Long live Helen Thomas! One of the only journalists who even bothers to ask the real questions!

The woman's been a WH press corp member since JFK!!!

Hopefully she has some protege's who will follow in her footsteps!

Man, I wish she'd ask about Bilderberg and the Elitist economic globalization effort that are willing to use any methods to accomplish their goals!

Evidently some of you have no respect for the wisdom that comes from age and experience!!

That's one of the biggest problems in this country!
If some of you took the time to learn something from the people who have been there and done that things might not be so messed up today!
We should cherish our elderly...not discard them like waste!!

Yes, still going strong, goes to show what a gallon of brandy will do before a press conference.

Helen Thomas is a first-rate real live Journalist...a species of animal which is EXTINCT. She is of the same calibre as Walter Cronkite and Edward R. Murrow.

Is it any wonder the pure, dripping venom is being posted by rightwing fascists?

GREAT observation.

She is the one that is most feared by the WH. They know she asks the controversial questions they like to avoid. Reagan used to give her a hard time as does Bush. She rocks.

Edit: I also like David Gregory he stands up to the WH and asks the tough questions.

In her mind I'm sure she thinks she's the heroine of the press corps, however Mrs. Thomas ceased to be relevant many years ago. Any younger person who asks the same sort of questions would rightly be ignored. The only reason President Bush calls on her is out of politeness. He's also polite when he exposes her bias while answering. I don't think any reasonable person would refer to her as awesome.

I ought to take my proton energy pill and whomp her. The nerve of that old broad using freedom of the press to ask embarrassing questions of the Bush administration! There are limits to freedom, you know!

It's too bad there aren't more members of the press like her.
She has an amazing history of firsts.

I assume our enemies think so.

I do not.

PS I agree that we should cherish our elderly and not discard them like waste.

But in this case I'm willing to make an exception, if for no other reason than to keep her from embarrassing herself.

Helen Thomas has actually been dead for the past 13 years. Any gurgling noises that emanate from her decaying corpse should be ignored. It's funny ... when she is around the rest of her family they wont even let her feed herself or have the remote for the television.

Helen Thomas certainly has stamina.

Age has not changed her. She is just as boring as ever. She has written four books, can you name one? Me neither. Have you seen some of what she writes after a news conference? Me neither.

Go to: http://images.google.com/images?q=helen+thomas&hl=en&rls=com.microsoft:*:IE-SearchBox&rlz=1I7GWYE&um=1&sa=X&oi=images&ct=title and just look at that mug.

You would think that after all these years she would learn some manners. Don't hold your breath.
