There is a folder called bookmarkbackups (in your profile directory) that contain revisions of your bookmarks. Just import them back into your browser.

In XP, you can find it here..
C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\\

If you can't find the folder that he is talking about, make sure you make hidden folder visible.

How do I import them back in..
In the directory that contains the bookmarkbackups folder (not in the bookmarkbackups folder), there should be a file called bookmarks.html. Delete it. Then go into the bookmarkbackups folder, find the latest backup that contains your bookmarks and rename it to bookmarks.html. Put that file back into the directory where you deleted the other one. Close all firefox windows, then relaunch firefox and your bookmarks should be visible from within the browser.

Hope it helps you....

By default, Firefox has about five or six links that display.

Sounds like you may have moved, deleted, or lost the file that holds all the bookmarks. Normally it is called bookmarks.html. Do a Search for the file. If you can find it, you can import the links back into your menu using File > Import/Export.

Perhaps you have them set up for Offline Web Pages in your Disk Cleanup and they're being cleaned out each time you clean temporary files.
