Hotels in San Francisco pleaseee!!?

Question

I would like to know if somebody can recommend me any hotel in SF but not too expensive!! ( not up to $100 per night) and i would like it cannot be outside of SF ( not in San Bruno, San mateo, South SF ...).I have seen a lot of cheaps hotels here in the internet; but i dont know if they're clean and good. i'll be there only one night of next week. Help

It got mixed reviews, read them and decide for yourself. Taxes may push it over $100. The only other one I saw there isn't in the greatest neighborhood (though you could avoid the problem areas by using 8th st. instead of 7th):

I've stayed at the Sir Francis Drake as suggested by Mamarat. It's very clean and nice. The airline crews stay there. Don't know if you can get a room for under $100, but it might be the best deal in the city.

Check out the pillars in the bar - solid redwood. They are huge. I think the Sir Francis Drake survived the 1906 Earthquake and fire?

My brother's family came into town and stayed at the Sir Francis Drake, right off Union Square. I see it's $159 if you go to their site, but my bro said he got a $69/night deal online, maybe hotels.com?

The rooms were nice and the lobby was lovely.

They are all $100 or more if you want a fairly nice one.
The cheaper ones and crappier hotels in lousy neighborhoods.

Try Hyatt in Embarcadero. Crowne Plaza on Sutter Street.
