I saw a girl in one of my classes last semester who had one. She would just flip the monitor over, like a notebook, and "write" on it while we were taking notes. What is this???

this would be a "tabet" laptop. It's not the program you need, its the touch screen the laptop has built in.

It's not really something you can just add on as far as I know.
You would need to buy a new laptop.

It is a touchscreen, and unfortunately it takes both a program and special hardware. You can purchase what is called a light pen that can be used to write from your screen. But with a laptop where the screen stands up, rather then flips, it is very difficult on the had to use.

you have to have a screen thats made for it and most times those screens come with the program windows vista has a program built in for this like if you have a laptop with that kind of screen and your installing vista on it vista has the program to make it work
