similar to Reagan's backing of Iraq in the '80s?

Saudi Arabia, home of Wahhabism, IS the most radical Muslim nation in the Middle East.

Bush doesn't care.

He doesn't care that most of the 9/11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia. Or that Saudi Arabia is primarily Sunni, and opposed to the Iraqi Shiite-based parliament. Or that most of the foreign insurgents and supplies in Iraq come from Saudi Arabia (according to US military and intelligence reports).

Bush's family likes Saudi Arabia. That's the limit of his reality. Sadly, the rest of us have to deal with the consequences of his delusions.

because of the fact, as you know, in undemanding terms 20% of the 9/11 hijackers did not come from Saudi Arabia so it somewhat is okay. The Bush fluffers will safeguard him in this in basic terms like they did while he replaced into arming the Sunni's, even regardless of the indisputable fact that the Sunni's to at present time are nevertheless killing our troops and we save sending them weapons.

Yes.

It's sad that nothing was learned from who and what Reagan supported. Iraq, Iran and bin Laden.

Remember, Reagan was the best President that we ever had.

I still don't see it.

ADD: Things have changed dramatically since the 90's. Like 9/11. Weren't some of those terroists from Saudi??

Considering that Militant Saudis were directly responsible for 9/11 I would say that arming Saudi Arabia perhaps isn't the wisest idea.

I think it's an baaaaad plan. Saudi Arabia is training terrorists in the Madrassas now. Giving them weapons is like driving a gas truck into a burning gas station. Not a good idea.

Hopefully Bush is at least making them pay for it, it's not like they are a charity case. Or is this one last favor to his oil buddies before he goes? Criminal, the whole thing is absurd.

Maybe he'll hire them as mercenaries when Ameica gets tired of funding his hobby.

Another dumb bush idea. I guess this is his backup plan to fund the war after congress completely gives up on his failure war.
