In a high school freshman team playing guard, then yes it's fine. If you got a large frame, and some wieght behind you then your good to go your high school carrer.

Depending on your size (height and weight) I'd say that is pretty bad. I've seen guys 300 lbs, 6'3" run a 5.1. I was a 6'2". 250 lb OG in college and I ran a 4.6. Now being a freshman your body will develope more yet so if you keep your weight in control the added body development should help increase your time.

It is a time an average person can get on the street. It won't cut it at the next level. You aren't old enough for your 40 time to be measured, as you are a little young yet. Different factors will affect your speed, such as growth and your wieght. Wait 2 years and measure it again, that will be a better gauge for your speed.

I'm not sure how good it is compared to others in your league. To improve, in addition to sprints, you should also do squats. Helps your sprint, but also your overall power, which is even more important for that position. Switch it up from squats that are only mildly more than just your own body weight, to stuff that you can only lift 3-8 times in a set. For these, you should always have a spotter, and you should research proper form, to prevent injury.

hey since ur a freshmen i would not worry bout how fast ur. Trust me u have plenty of time to work on your 40time. If i were u, since ur a offensive lineman i would work on exploading of the line scrimmage. If scouts see how quick ur off the ball they will certainly overlook your 40time. So try to get very explosive, and live in the WEIGHT ROOM!!!!!!!
Keep your grades up and you'll be at a D1 school.
good luck..

Depends on your weight. If you're a big kid then it's great. As a guard you need speed. So work on your lower body strength.

No, you really don't have to be fast for lineman though. Try to get faster, work on sprints, getting a good start, good running technique, things like that.
