To a large degree it has but not entirely. I would support looking at the economic conditions of the party involved over race or gender as that would take the appearance of bias out of it.

It was never a good mechanism to accomplish it's purpose, but, yes, it's certainly outlived whatever usefulness it may once have had.
Programs focused on the economically disadvantaged, regardless of race, would, indeed, be a better aproach.

Yes, just look at the White House.
Affirmative Action has given Asians, blacks and Arabs a chance to advise the US President. Too bad that the Jews were not given a chance, because they are very smart and trustworthy + they are not White.

It has absolutely served its purpose and should be eliminated. If business are not hiring the best people for their needs, regardless of race, they should suffer a competitive disadvantage and be eliminated in the long run.

Yes, it has outlived it's usefulness. It was used to create a level playing field, now that has been done, we no longer need it to create a unlevel playing field in the opposite direction.
