If that happens there will be an outcry to regulate all the left wing Liberal newspapers and TV, and cable channels, too. I have no doubt that talk radio will continue. If it is banned from the airwaves by the Liberals, then it will just find a home on the internet or satellite radio.

That is a definate "YES". Bill Ruder (an assistant secretary of commerce in President John F. Kennedy's administration) candidly recalled the way the doctrine was used in the early 1960s. "We had a massive strategy to use the fairness doctrine to challenge and harass the right-wing broadcasters, and hope the challenge would be so costly to them that they would be inhibited and decide it was too expensive to continue," he explained in Fred Friendly's 1976 book, "The Good Guys, the Bad Guys and the First Amendment."

Oh who cares? They'd make more money theoretically on Satelite, (unless you don't believe in free enterprise) so it's a wonder they haven't gone there already.

I don't really care about Rush Limbaugh's freedom of speech. He has more than you or I...

But of course this is a post by the man in the wool hat, so all must agree that your pundits are not corporate clones.

R.P., Yes, as we know from experience, IF THE LEFTIES dont like it, there will be " ENLIGHTENED LEGISLATION, FORTH COMING FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE PUBLIC" !!!! Now, what message did you read/ receive from the statement?? Was the message an announcement that the politicians are taking steps to PROTECT the public??? By "public", do you think of the general population, at large, in whole, perhaps from coast to coast and border to border ???
IF you believe this, how about you meeting me somewhere, you bring about 25 POUNDS of $100.00 bills, and I will sell you some Texas coastal salt water fishing lands!!! The "PUBLIC" protection--- FOR ABOUT 1 HOUR, THE LEFTIES WILL CHANGE THEIR NAME TO "PUBLIC"

As outstanding because of the fact the iPod is, it gets boring after a protracted automobile journey. I took a street holiday from Austin, TX to San Diego, CA and had to close off the iPod. particularly, I grew to become on my Sirius because of the fact it has a great sort of categories of track, information radio, comedy, etc. once you're driving, Sirius wins palms down. You mine besides say XM besides considering that they merged.
