It was his first seizure in 14 years. Saying he is a freak is uncalled for. A seizure is NOT considered a SICKNESS of the brain especially considering there is no OBVIOUS trigger for the seizure. High fevers can cause seizures although this one was not triggered by one.
His having a seizure is not what "causes" him to make the decisions he has.

Behold! The caring liberal concerned with the welfare of all mankind! See how the true brute is hidden behind a pleasant front.
Step right up and see the true hypocrite.
Do you know that if you had some research that you would have found a Supreme Court Justice that had a seizure on the way to Washington DC and arrived a drooling idiot. He served on the bench for nearly 6 years before he succumbed and his condition never improved. No, I won't tell the name or the time period. That takes all the fun out of research.

Seizures do not affect the intelligence of individuals. They are also usually easily controlled by medication. My grandmother had seizures occasionally and she lived to be 94 and sharp as a tack to the end. So much for your happiness that Roberts won't be around. Next time you have to go to the doctor ask him or her about seizures so you understand what you are talking about.

1) No, not necessarily.
2) What history of seizures? He had ONE back in the early 90's.
3) Why is he a "freak" appointment? Please be specific.
4) Why are you glad that he might not be around for much longer? It sounds like you have a certain sickness on the brain with that reptilian attitude.

How tolerant of you.
The brain is a highly complex organ. It's pretty obvious that you don't understand the first thing about it... but how could you? Clearly, you have as much need to understand how the brain works as I have to understand how the prostate works. After all; as a woman, I don't have a prostate.
There is a difference between mental illness and having a seizure disorder. But it is nice to know that you think all epileptics are mentally ill. Very sweet of you.

As the previous responder stated, seizures are not indicative of low intelligence. For ANYONE who thinks so, you need to google "Sir Isaac Newton" and "epilepsy," or try "Nobel" and "Epilepsy." Then you might want to try St. Paul, Martin Luther, William Pitt, Napoleon. They all had it, and I wouldn't call them slackers.

He'll be around for many years smart guy. seizures don't effect your brain like say a stroke. Sorry you'll just have to be angry for a few more decades.

Can't we do better than a chief justice who has fits and foams at the mouth? Join me in petitioning this dunce to step down that he may be replaced with someone who is wired correctly. Any liberal would be a huge step forward.

I rather have someone who has a physical ailment they cant control than someone like ginsburg who just falls asleep on the bench.

and thats not very liberal of you to discriminate against a physical ailment....
