Yes!!! It's particularly annoyning when I'm standing in a checkout line trying to pay out and the person behind me is practically breathing down my neck. I think people like that have issues with boundaries.

Depends on who is standing too closely.

Some stinky person that hasn't bathed or brushed in weeks can move back.

On the other hand, if it's the guy that played the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera, well.......

OMG! I HATE THAT!

Ok, I have what I call a "bubble". It's my personal space. When some one gets into my bubble, I get very aggravated. Especially people I (a) don't like (b) don't know. Only a very select few people are allowed in my bubble and sometimes even THEY get on my nerves when they get too close!

Yes, that definitely skeeves me out. I have a problem shopping around the holidays because when the malls and stores are crowded, I feel like I could gag at the different smells of people -- give me open spaces and keep your distance...unless you are my significant other...

I was at a store yesterday and this mom told her little boy to stay in line and not to lose her spot. He stood so close to me and let me tell you, he wasn't the cleanest little boy I've ever seen. He kept breathing on me and stepping on my heels. Um so yeah, I hate it when people stand too close to me.

Dont stand
Dont stand so
Dont stand so close to me.

This question reminds me of a song by The Police.

Yes, it feels invasive when an aquantance or stranger does it. However, I have no issues with my family or friends standing a little close - it feels nice.

Oh my god, yes! I normally don't mind people standing "close" but when they're so close that they feel like they're right on top of you it's so annoying - especially if it's someone you've never seen before!
