Im scared to talk to people that I don't know (especially of the opposite sex) because I think they won't like me after they actually talk to me. Is this normal?

It could that you are just shy...the next time you speak to the opposite sex, speak of everyday life and don't look like you are interested and they will become interested in you....cause you will seem sort of mysterious to them...and that sort of thing turns them on..good luck..

sometimes our self-esteem is a little affected for one reason or the other, and we might feel inadequate around people of the opposite sex.

you're just as "good" as everyone else!

if you meet a guy, take an interest in him... try to avoid talking about your past relationships, worries and fears. be positive and cheerful. just be YOU.

i'm sure you're quite a lovely, interesting person! hugs

What is normal is that in life some people will like you and some want. That is just the fact. So go ahead and be yourself and find the ones that do and screw the rest.

Fear of Rejection. Change the way you think a little bit.
You have nothing to loose, but a friendship to gain. If they keep talking to you great, if they don't So What not like you talked to them before.

It's normal to be anxious about what people think about you. But you are who you are. You have to have confidence in yourself and not worry about what other people think. So what if you meet someone and they don't like you? There are plenty of people in this world who do like you I'm sure. You have to be who you are, wheather people like you or not should not be an issue.

who's to say what is normal.. but it is certainly common. but think of it this way... the people you meet are also trying to impress and say the right thing. usually. so relax..be yourself... and you will be fine.
