Try this out, it works great for inherited circles beneath the eyes.

What you see in magazines is touched up and air brushed. No one really looks like that. Pick up one of those cheaper magazines that has photos of stars without make up sometimes. You'll see they look normal, like you and me.

Dark circles are a sign of toxins and loss pf sleep. You can start by getting sleep and doing a detox (eating home made soups and salads for a few days, drinking natural juices). Get your beauty rest too. You can use concealer in the meantime. The color should be yellowish, but you really should go to one of those places where you can try it on. It will be more expensive, but at least you'll get the best thing for them.

Some people are born with a certain color under and around their eyes. In the Middle East it's common, but I think it looks normal with their skin tone. The French actress, Juleitte Binoche thinks dark circles are sexy! So, you never know ;-)

Never use the same moisturiser on or under your that you use on your face because it is too heavy, the skin under your eyes is very thin and what happens is the heavy daily moisturiers seeps in and causes the dark circles under the eyes.

Use an eye cream around that area, I use the body shop eye cream and it does help but never totally gets rid of the darkness, you can use a concealer which will again make the eyes lighter, again I use the body shop concealer, it is very easy to use aswell and can't see that you have got it on...

There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

Pat concealer or a good matching foundation over the dark circle starting under your eye in the inner corner. Gently pat across to the middle of your under eye and blend, providing lighter coverage as you go.
Do not use concealer any further than that. It will make your eyes look puffy.

you could use a water based concealer or even just try gettng enough sleep. also, dark circles could mean you are dehydrated, so drink pleny of water. it all else fails just learn to accept them. and don't admire ppl in magazines. they are computer perfected.
