Firstly, thank you for your time and the details about the coin are as follows;

It is a 1967 John F. Kennedy half-dollar coin, however the heads and tail do not correspond so to put it.

The head appears to be in the correct position, however when the coin is flipped, the symbol on the back appears to be in the wrong direction, where the bottom of the symbol is on the top.

Any and all information about this coin is highly appreciated, specifically that of it's worth, and thank you in advance for your time.

All U.S. coin are made in coin rotation. You take the bottom of the coin and rotate it towards the top and the reverse should be up right. Medal rotation that are used on Canadian coins is when you turn the coin from left to right both sides are up. I doubt you have a Kennedy half that when turned left to right both side are up and correct. Some can be rotated a little but not that far off. If the case see a dealer to make sure it is a real coin. Hope this helps.

Half dollars minted from 1965-1970 are 40% silver. The total silver weight in a 40% silver half dollar is about .18 ounce. Silver is close to $14.00 an ounce now. Do the math-- they are worth about $2.50 a piece. That's melt value. If they are in mint state condition they are worth more.
