I believe the household chores are woman's work and the only time a man should lift a hand is to carve the dinner on a Sunday and mix a gin & tonic!
I guess I'm just an old fashioned gal!

Is this a trick question? I no longer expect a man to do any jobs around the house - that would be flying in the face of past experience!

The jobs he should not be expected to do around the house will vary from marriage to marriage. Each couple will work out their own job schedule, and it will probably overlap at times and shift around.
I don't think any jobs should be off limits without a good reason.

Neither man nor woman should be EXPECTED to do any particular job. If both are contributing to and getting benefit from the household, strictly speaking they should share the chores equally, either taking turns or each one undertaking to do those things according to his/her particular strengths or likings. However, I do admit that I am a bit old-fashioned when it comes to male/female roles and I prefer to do all the traditionally female chores myself, so long as I don't have "back-seat driver" type of interference from "him indoors". If he likes to do any of these things himself (e.g. a lot of men enjoy cooking) then I wouldn't object. But any man who would sit idly by when his partner is struggling is inconsiderate, thoughtless and disrespectful. He would not be treating me as a true partner and he, in turn, would not be a true partner in my eyes.

A quick note cave man: Studies show that men who help out around the house have more sex with their SO's.
Want to get laid more often? Then do the dishes.

Exactly the same jobs that a woman shouldn't be expected to do, such as tidy up kids' bedrooms when they are old enough to do it for themselves, etc.
