Of course if you are talking about a cartoon turtle or something, I would consider it to be more naked than homeless. Saying a turtle "lives" in its shell is like saying a human "lives" in its skin. Sort of true, but it more accurate to say a human lives in a house. Just like a turtle lives in a lake (Or the woods, or the sea. Depends on the species)
