I don't get sad because some people might have better advice for that person then you. The whole point is to answer it how you feel is best and maybe reading other peoples answers will change your way of thinking on that certain question.

When it's between only 2 people and I have the right answer to the question posted, and I don't get picked - yes - it does. Because I have spent the time to help someone out and they don't have the decency to acknowlege it.
It also irks me when I and others go to great lengths to answer what seem to be heartfelt or difficult questions and then the poster never responds - leaving best answer to voters. Which I don't care if I don't get best answer - it's just the randomness of the poster that bugs me.

No because I think I would answer differently if I was looking for best answer. I would tend to write what I think the person wants to hear rather than how I feel.

Not sad because I try to answer a lot, but when I get an email confirmation saying my answer was the best one chosen I become supper excited...then I go answer other questions and forget about it anyway.

Yes, but it really makes me sad when I get a thumbs down for one of my answers that I thought was good.

Not at all, I am not really too into the points thing. I like helping others and having fun. To me that is what Answers is about.

Yes, it kind of does. I don't usually answer a question unless I really know what I'm talking about, I don't give pointless answers, and I always know my research........... so when someone gets chosen simply for saying something ridiculous or an unresearched opinion.... yep, it hurts a little. :-(

a little yes...especially when an answer gets chosen just because the questioner agrees, or when I think its a really stupid answer.
