My last period started on 1st June. My cycles vary from 28 to 42 days. I had unprotected sex with fiance on 15th July and I suspect that my period was due around this time because I developed a spot on my chin, which always occurs a few days before (!). The period never came and since then I've been tired, bloated, and urinating more often (but could this be that I'm looking for symptoms??) Last week I had cramps every day, mildly at first for a few minutes then a little stronger during one night. My question is, as I only had sex just over 2 weeks ago but have missed the period, when is a good time to test?

With it only being 2 weeks since you had unprotected sex you can buy one of the tests that has 2 in the pkgs, take 1 now (which could give a true reading depending on how much your hormones have reacted). If this shows a neg. wait 2 more weeks if you have not had a cycle by that time take the second test. At that point it should give a true + or -. You could also be stressing alot and this could postpone your cycle. just try to chill out until you know.

you could be pregnant take a test first thing in the morning it should show now that you have missed your period if it turns out negative and your period does not come in two weeks test again. Your local health department does free testing and they can also direct you to services if you are pregnant.

If you missed your period I would take one, or wait a couple weeks. It is up to you but I'm impatient so i would take one now and again in two weeks.

Wait another two weeks and if your period hasn't come by then.. get checked out to see if you're pregnant. I hope for the best with you!

you can test now as most tests are designed to pick up hcg levels within seven to ten days of conception. ( hcg is the hormone that is present in urine when you are pregnant)

You could be pregnant.

Test after your missed period.
