I asked this question several minutes ago but didn't seem to show up...so reposting...sorry if it duplicates.

I found out last night it is ok to keep a community tank of female bettas (groups of 3 or more) and I was wondering, is it safe to have one male betta in with the group as well?

No, that's not safe. I male betta will be fine in a community tank of no other bettas, but will not allow other bettas (male or female) on his territory. Females are far less territorial and will simply establish a "pecking order" in the tank so they will at least put up with each other. A male shouldn't be mixed woth any other bettas, male or female.

that wouldnt be safe.. several females are territorial and will fight like the males..also wen u keep a male with them he will try to breed with call of them creating a whole bunch of little fry or a bunch of chaos..
