Beause of the videos of half naked women shaking and "jyrating" and are being named as the "video girls" (among more harsher remarks) is the reason why "real" women are being treated the way we are today. Some WOMEN think it is ok and some don't.

How do you feel? Why?

I think those "video" girls have prostituted themselves for the sake of money and or fame. They objectify our sex and belittle our honor and I hold them all in disdain.

As a guy, I believe the standards for women should be the same as they are for men. Imagine the fat guy with no shirt on in the video who's 60 and dancing (there are some). They discredit me as a person but I'm not about to go and get mad at them. If they want to "act the fool" and make money, ok. I'll keep up the good ethics and live the way I want to live rather than fuss over other people. The logical course of action for women would be not to give in to the pressure of reforming to different value's if you set your value's on a different level - all those girls in the videos where raised the same as you, they just made different decisions.

(just be happy you have that decision to make)... You could have a pre-arranged marriage right now and be killed for unmarried sex or indecency in public somewhere right now.

Lets keep it real, all women objectify themselves at one point in time, just like men do. It is hypocrisy in this society. We like sex yet it is taboo to be open about it. How many women feel like the act of sex is worth something. That is the emotion that women put into and can come out of having sex. Rather you hold yourself for that nice banker with financial security, or choose to say I'm sexy let me show it. "Video girls" are no different than Maybelene, or cover-girls, or A& Finch girls. I understand that most women hold themselfs to a "higher" standard but bottomline on top even when they settle it will be with the understanding that goods and services are exchanged and certain standards are met. Not the complete reason but enough that anyone who denies it would be being hipacritical.

I agree with Pammy. But I still wouldn't have a problem with it if the women were portraying their true selves. They have the right to do what they do. It's wrong if people choose to generalize women because of it, but the women are not wrong for doing what they do. In my opinion, to say otherwise is the same as saying, for example, that rappers are wrong for rapping about gang violence simply because this world contains morons who assume all blacks are gang bangers. I think people should be permitted to do whatever they want as long as what they do doesn't violate the rights of others.

VIVA LA FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION!

Its not OK-but I dont hold videos, music or tv responsible for the acts of individuals especially adults. Individuals make their own decisions and these can influence you but you make the decision to be influenced in a negative manner.

I am tired of living in an environment where everyone (is allowed to) blame someone else for their own actions ie i bbq my gf because she was going to leave me or i chopped my wife up because she was going to leave me. Gimme a break already!

This is IMO and i hope it helps to enlighten a few people

I don't get treated any differently with or without the "video girls"! If a woman is being disrespected by the man or men in her life that is because she is letting it happen. I have self respect which makes others have respect for me too. I demand respect and don't tolerate any thing less!

It is the ladies themselves who put themselves in that predicament. It doesn't make any difference to me. Would i do it ? no, but that is a personal choice.
Honestly, i don't really see anything wrong with it because if you think about it , in America it's normal to see women in shorts, and nothing is thought of it. On the other hand, if you go to the middle east or south india, they will think the ladies who wear shorts are prostitutes.
I don't think women should have to "hide" themselves or stop dancing, after all men jyrate as well !
I think it's a step closer for equal rights for women and men. Men need to simply have self control and if he touches when not wanted, then he should go to jail. GO WOMEN :-)

i personally belive that a woman is treated better when she sticks up for what she believes because regardless of all that jazz about video ho's men respect the woman who carried herself with dignity. shes a mother, a wife, a teacher, and an important figure in life for the nexty generations, a role model. men are arrogant and idiots, but still they give more respect to a woman who stands firm in her convictions.

No, because of the fact rap song is going on approximately "b**ches" and "hoes" and that i'm actual no longer one. additionally the rap stars do no longer basically objective black women persons. in case you seem in the video clips you will see many black, hispanic, and a few white ladies in there too. it is easy to basically be indignant in the event that they decide directly to be.
