I don't believe for a second that liberals are any less patriotic than conservatives. I thought the Boston Tea Party, which was a protest against the then ruling government, was considered a patriotic act.

I also don't believe there's a democrat in the House or the Senate that wants the US to lose in Iraq, for political or any other reason.

A lot of liberals are opposed to the war because they view it as an unnecessary war that is only resulting in a purposeless killing of our men. Thats unpatriotic? No, to me it sounds like we're trying to save our people! We love that our people have such pride in us and that they are willing to fight for our freedom-- but, if we don't believe the war is just, why waste good lives? Giving back to the soldiers who gave for us.

I'm a conservative and I don't think that at all. We live in a country based in the idea that we have the right to disagree-even if we think the others view is stupid-and sometimes I do-that person has a right to believe what they chose. As for the comments on Unpatriotic-they are specifically referring to the vote to try to cut off funding to the troops-not to end the war.
I think we are in a mess-no matter what we do we will still be in a mess-but keeping our guys safe is no# 1. We need to get out but not that way.
WE are based in rebellion for rights against a British Government that was screwing us from "afar"-of course it was patriotic to protest in Boston then.
Arguments with political words to incite people who read them in the press go both ways-I'd just like them to do their jobs instead.

till the 1960's, while the Vietnam difficulty halved the old liberal coalition into the wacko, biker-phillic, a ways left-wing Mao-smooching hippies and the greater classic Euegene "sparkling Gene" McCarthy factions, Democrats have been the party of internationalist idealism and Republicans isolationists. while the dangerously risky Republican Dick Nixon replaced into elected, he used the conflict to maintain capability and do all varieties of sordid issues to the form and organic human liberty. considering the fact that then, the Republicans have been the party of conflict, Famine, and Pestilence.

because they have so much invested in the war and it's outcome. Many if not all now know that the Iraq war was a war built on lies, and because the conservatives invested so heavily in said lies ( in an effort to bolster a weak president), it is their way to try and pressure others into following their mistakes. a patriotic person does not want to lose one life for an unnecessary war, a conservative, to quote your president" wants the soldiers to stay so that the soldiers that have already died didn't die for nothing". So more soldiers should die to pay homage to the ones that have already died.

Nice to meet you Freakzilla. I am a liberal. I want us to win this war. So stuff your sign and quit stereotyping. Not all liberals are the same just like not all conservatives are the same. And the reason why some conservatives call liberals unpatriotic is because they have screwed this war up badly. They don't want any questions or comments because they don't want to have to answer for their mistakes. They want us to see nothing, hear nothing and say nothing. It would serve their special interests, oil and no bid contracts, greatly if we just follow along blindly.

Well, you would be wrong on your assessment of many democrats in Congress. They have politicized this from the beginning. You need to look no further than the statements made by Harry Reid. If Congress were busy finding a way to help us win instead of a way to get us out, I would agree with you. Yes, the war is unpopular. I think you can thank the media for that. With that said, it is important to find a workable solution other than cut and run. The area is too vital to let it turn to chaos. The Democrats know this. Why do you think that they pass the resolutions that have zero meaning. It is politics and a power grab, nothing more.

I don't think being against war is unpatriotic, however cheering against America because an American loss would help your political party is shameful. And that is exactly what the far left-wing democrats do.

I believe that the Boston Tea Party polluted the nice bay they dumped all that tea in. I also believe that the failure in Iraq would be looked at as a good thing ONLY because there are many Dems that want a Dem in the White House. It would only be convenient for them during election times.

You may be one of the few supporters of liberalism who don't belive capitalists shoud be tried for war crimes.

Many liberals were horrified when the USA swifty overcame military oppostition in Afghanistan (they wanted the USA to lose and they wanted to be able to label the action to attack terrorists with the quagmire tag, that worked so well for them in Viet Nam). Your democratic candidates for 2008, would not defend the USA even if we had another 911.

Democrats have absolutely nothing to offer but socialism. You talk, talk, talk but at the end of the day you support our enemies, every time.

You most likely don't believe in work, or self determination, or being proud of the flag, or our soldiers, the list go's on and on. If you think for just one minute that Polizi, or Reid, or Kennedy or most on that side, would not LOVE to see our men come home in shame so they could capitalize on it, you have lost your mind.
