Baby, read about the Aztec "civilization." The super-advanced people that built pyramids, could predict eclipses, did wonders with architecture...and sacrificed TENS of THOUSANDS of people to their pagan gods. Oh ...the way they did that was by holding down the victims and ripping out their hearts. Then the victim was ..eaten. Nice, ay?
Christianity..Jesus was all about submission, abandonment of PRIDE, the Lamb..purity, gentleness, "love Thy neighbour," the Golden Rule, love for all people, for the poor, the sick.
The fact that some have hijacked this and used manipulation for their own personal reason, has NOTHING to do with Jesus's teaching. Do not forget that he was KILLED because he was annoying and inconveniencing "the powerfuls of the day" with his preachings of purity, helping the poor, denouncing corruption and sin.

well... Religions have been used throughout history as a way for those in power to controls those without power. If you look at the first lesson in the Christian or jewish bible, it tells you knowledge is bad. What better way to control people then to keep them ignorant and tell them they will be rewarded for all this hard work they do now in the next life. People also have to believe in something bigger then themselves, otherwise, why bother with anything. When something challenges this belief the intelligent either lose their faith or overcome and grow stronger. The stupid will not consider it, and there is the danger. If you will not even consider some one else's point of view, or the possibility you might be wrong, you will do anything for you're religion. Blow up innocent people, no problem if you're one of these people. Continue a war that has no basis and the vast majority of people are against? No problem as long as you think God says it's ok.
Thats the danger of religion, people are convinced they are right and will not even consider any other possibility. That makes them fanatics and as long as you think you're God says it's ok, it's ok no matter who it hurts.
No other religion stands up to the horrors committed by Christians in the name of God, and no other religion could even come close to the body count of Christianity. Very odd considering Jesus was all about peace and love.
Spanish inquisition, multiple crusades, Salem and European witch trials and the genocide of entire races of people as Christians conquered the new world just to name the very tip of the iceberg.
anonevyl- they all had their religions, and they all committed horrors in the name of those religions.

human beings hate Jews beause they have been unfairly given a bad popularity. a great number of Jews migrated to different already nicely time-honored international places, (i don't have the specific info yet you will can locate out in case you do a splash diagnosis), religiously, politically, economically etc. After migrating unfortunatly they didnt do this nicely and did not gain plenty that's why a great number of Jews have been seen inferior. greater importantly nevertheless they refused to transform their faith (back i dont have specific info) via demands from the state or bullies particularly and through this reason have been considered as in fact a discomfort in a*s via the state. So what the state did became supply the Jews each and all the crappy jobs like debt creditors and who in this international likes a debt collector? not attaining plenty, not changing their faith and been given crappy jobs gave them a bad rep among different persons. This unfair "undesirable popularity" the Jews have been given has by some means caught even to on the instant. this is an particularly crude answer yet once you want specific and exact infomation them carry out a little interpreting. human beings hate the muslim faith because of the fact they think of it is extreme. to illustrate they sell conversion to islam.

It has nothing to do with religion. Humans crave power. Those who do try to make religion to justify it. I am Muslim and Islam doesn't teach us to fight it even has rules if you do have to go to war. Like not to hurt the old, women, children or a tree. However you have people who take a word and turn it into what you want that's with any religion.

Oh, I don't know. Seems Attila the Hun was not very gentlemanly, neither were the Vikings nor the Zulu. In fact there were plenty of violence prone people long before the emergence of Judaism, Christianity or Islam.

the near, middle and fare east countries have been in tribal wars for 3,000 years, religion was adopted and different tribes adopted different versions. Countries there were established along tribal boundaries. The killing and wars will simply continue no matter who is in charge.

Men are violent. Period. Religion has nothing to do with it.
What were the Huns, Celts, Vikings, Romans, Persians? They weren't any of the above religions. It's all about power.
Please think before you ask questions.
