Because of the cost in global warming of shipping tangerines she says she will give up eating them, so those of us who live in areas where we grow no tropical fruits should just live with bland diets and risk the health effects. I guess it is "Let them just eat cake" frrom the Million dollar household of the Edwards who made their money chasing ambulances. I guess that will ensure we need better health care because we will have worse diets.

David: It doesn't bother me that they are successful just the way they made it if you look at the type of cases Edwards primarily made his money on and how he used questionable tax loopholes to ensure greater financial gain. I have friends and family who are lawyers and I can respect their legal work because they beleive more in doing what is right for justice sake than making money by finding every trick to win. Also it doesn't matter what an orange or tangerine has in value nutritonally what she basically tried to encourage is to not eat all foods that have to be transported great distances. Its one thing if its bottled water but when you have children or even adults you want a varied diet with multiple options and she in her sarcastic and better than us tone makes it a crime to want to eat something that is healthy.

Myself, I was very thankful that she pointed out to me to stop eating tangerines immediately. Being a meat and potatos kind of guy, I had never thought of eating one until she mentioned it.

I think you are reading much more in to it than she said.
First, she said she was going to stop. She didn't tell you not to eat tangerines.
Second, tangerines are only one of dozens of tropical fruits.
Third, tangerines produce the least amount of edible fruit for the bulk and weight shipped. Oranges provide a much higher amount of edible fruit for the bulk and weight shipped.
Why does it bother you that the Edwards were successful?
