I think Hillary is smart but also self serving. She has not been a bad senator and has improved my opinion of her but her acceptance of years of lies and women with her husband proves to me that her staying with him was not for love and her ethics (personal) are in question as his are-they are supposed to be representing one of the greatest countries in the world-and cigars and such in the White House is not that. Bill didn't ruin the country in his term but neither did he rep me and my morals. Bush is not either by the way-I am a conservative but can see Obamas intelligence and energy too. I like Giuliani myself but its because he approaches things like a businessman and I like his continued reference to the fact that gov. should help but not run-we should. Hillary has also made too many comments concerning the monies of the rich-they earned it-its theirs-if they are cheating, then jail em! But she thinks it should be better "dispersed"-HEY! I don't want to live in a socialist country-I work hard for my money-I also don't want too many government entities wasting it-like now. I would donate more if I had a choice rather than have big brother do it-that's my complaint with her. Shes very political and her answers always seem tainted with "what do they think I should say", instead of just answering. Obama seems like he's thinking......

Well, when you're dealing with republicans; you're not dealing with an intellectual crowd here! These are the people who keep spouting about "traditional family values", "bring/keep christianity in government", and "teach creationism and abstinence only sex-ed", which have all worked so well and which all Americans absolutely love to death (NOT).
So these people absolutely despise Hillary since she is a woman first and always will be, and women to them, should be in the home, quiet, subservient, and serving "her man". So they hate Hillary with a passion since she is not a man, and she is daring to run for the highest political office in the US. How dare she!! They foam at the mouth just thinking about it, they can barely speak her name.
Look at the way Hillary is referred to, when I can't think of a politician that is successful who is not:
-power hungry: Hillary dares to beat republicans, in other words
-planner: Repubs say she's conniving since she's organized
-cold: If she showed even one tear they would say she was pms'ing and would say she would blow up the world if elected
-two faced: Meaning she changes her mind once in a while, something a republican has NEVER done
-then they call her assorted disgusting names simliar to witch, since they despise women, and want to put her in her "place", where a woman "belongs": which to a republican, means, in the house, not the White House.
There are a few republicans who don't hate Hillary, but look at the ones answering your question. Even if they are not republicans, look how many woman-hating, sexist answers you've received already. Many repeat racist, ethnic slurs against Obama, and denigrate Edwards by saying he's "wealthy" when every single Republican running for President, and who is the President now, are millionaires.

Hillary doesn't fit into what some might consider "positive" archetypes of femininity....
1. I just read about a week ago an article in Psychology today that tried to explain some of the candidates' body language and what the average person would interpret it as. When talking about Hillary, they mentioned that she has certain body language that is considered masculine. Not only masculine but also powerful.
Many people see a powerful woman and subconsiouly dislike that....(men and women alike)....
2. Hillary is a rich white woman who cares about poor ethnic people. Often time, when she speaks, the viewer can see the fraternity she feels with people of color.
Again, this rubs many people the wrong way...

Yeah, it really doesn't make much sense... She's actually the LEAST liberal of all the Democratic hopefuls! The only half-sensible reason I've heard is that "she changes too much" which, I suppose, translates to her being untruthful in some light, or "sneaky".
I can understand that argument to a point. But what politician is going to survive this game if they don't reinvent themselves and change their opinions/positions when certain public policy is no longer popular? Take the Iraq War... The country has swung around almost a full 180. If you don't get on board with what America wants, then you're going to suffer the consequences... One need look no further than what George W. Bush is doing to his party and how they lost in the mid-term elections.
In any event, I think most of the hostility stems from an unconscious feeling of unease at having a woman in such a position of power. Truly, society has yet to break this cruel dichotomy thrust upon women; if we're too aggressive, we are perceived as power-hungry, cold hearted b*tches. If we're too quiet or submissive, we're perceived as unable to handle the responsibility of authority. Again, I do not think people consciously recognize this; rather, this is an issue subtly reinforced through our media and societal standards and gender roles.

You must be new at this if you think Hillary is a moderate. She is about the most socialistic leaning liberal to ever run for president. Don't buy into her act. She is a progressive in the same sense as Joseph Stalin was a progressive.
She is in the process of creating a false image of herself to fool the moderates who are notorious for having no idea what is really going on and are pretty easy to fool at election time.
If she wins the primary, she will then present herself as even farther to the right than Rush Limbaugh. She knows liberals stand no chance of election so she will have to pretend to be much more moderate than she really is.
Bill Clinton was not a liberal. In fact, he had no real core values or agenda. He just wanted to be president. He was basically more rock star than president. Harmless enough except for the lack of action on terrorism.
Hillary Clinton, is very liberal. In fact she has powerful socialistic values and a socialist agenda. She wants to be president because she wants to rule! There is nothing harmless about her. She is on record many times as hating the military, too. In fact, shen she was first lady, it annoyed her that they military personnel assigned to the White house wore their uniforms.

If someone needs to explain it too you, you would not understand. Of course you said that your self in you last line. Believe it or not, there are some of us still here, who can take care of ourselves. We don't need, nor want the gov. to take that job. You on the other hand have probably lived off mommy and daddy for so long or the welfare state that you don't understand that. All we want is for you people to leave us the hell along. You want socialized health care, go to cuba. you want higher taxes, go to Europe. you want the government telling you where to leave, what car to drive, every detail of your life? move to china. but for peat's sake leave the rest of us alone. And by the way any one who thinks that the bi--ch is a moderate has lost thier freeking mind

because she is a socialist , if you want more detail she wants national health care which would cost me about 70% of my income , and she wants to steal from the successfull to feed the unsuccessfull . Doing that she steps on the values and history of this nation , we here in America believe in self responsibility instead of giving to those who are failing so they arent uncomfortable . Those that want socialism ( liberals ) have many countries they can move to and be very happy while leaving America to the responsible hard working people it was founded by

She is as Liberal as they come, she is just posturing moderate because she is smart enough to know she has zero chance of winning if she presents her true self. It is not that she is Bill's wife, she is worse than Bill could ever be, and that's about as bad as one can get.

Republicans hate Hillary, but they love Ann Coulter.
They worship Ann Coulter so much that they can't see the truth.
