I think people should do what they want. I spend very few minutes a week on Y! Answers. Others spend however many hours they want and that's fine also. Everyone has a life, therefore no one needs to get one.

There may be a lot of people on here who are disabled, who are students on summer vacation, who are simply left home by themselves each day and this is their line of communication. I enjoy spending about an hour give or take on Yahoo Answers and I find it very informative as well as hilarious at times. So, I can't really judge who is on here that is wasting time and/or should be getting a life.

I'm not sure it's valid social interaction, but it's a fine way to pass time. It's good to help people who need answers! :)

there are all kinds of people on here. that helps keep it interesting. losers who should get a life, slackers who should get back to work, bored people with time on their hands and an internet connection, etc...

yes, it's a perfectly valid way to interact with others.

I think it's fine
after all we're not interacting with bots, so it ain't that bad
so long as you still interact with the world that's physically around you out there

I think it's fun to connect this way. You may be a loser if you have no job, friends or other interests. I enjoy having my questions answered and have recieved great advice.

i dont think ppl should spend hours on here. it's fun and helpful to answer questions on here but ppl definitly need to take care of their bodies by getting outside and getting fit. i'm prolly spending more time on here today because i'm sick.
