ok, 70 percent of americans really want illegal immigrants to be legalized. but there are 30 percent who b*tch about everything. and one of those things is illegal immigration. they always complain, make racist remarks and want them to go home. ohhh and they always say WHY DONT THEY COME HERE LEGALLY???

im wondering if the mayority of americans know why they come here illegaly??? im a immigrant from france and i support all immigrants.

we are talking about people who dont have jobs and are very very poor, if you want to come here you have to pay expensive fees and if you are from latin america you have to wait 10 years!!!!!! so how can a poor person pay all these fees and wait 10 years if they have no jobs and are desperate to feed their families??? of course is easier to cross the border.

for other immigrants from europe or asia they wait 1 or 2 years and dont as many fees and the ones from latin america.

I think most people do not realize why most people come here illegally, But there are also many people trying to come here legally and i think that's the way you need to do it. Because those people are now getting cut in a line and its making it harder for them to get in the country legally forcing them to wait longer. I under stand if you want a better life in a different country but you need to go though the system.

Think about this if someone stole your social serity card to get in the country would you want them to stay as they keep useing it?.

Good points, all, but it still doesn't answer the problem at the heart of this. Most Americans are not opposed to immigration (there are some that hate everybody, but let's hope they're the vast minority). Most Americans are opposed to ILLEGAL immigration.

If it's too difficult to immigrate to America, lobby to change the laws – but don’t just break them. It’s not about the immigrants – it’s about the criminals. People are coming here and not paying taxes, but being a burden on our medical, welfare, and social programs. They don’t trust our government, don’t live within the laws, but insist that it’s their right to be here.

My wife waited 3 months to come here legally and she's from latin america.... A few points:

1. We can't possibly accomodate every one who wants to come here simply because they are poor. Similarly, I don't think France could accomodate everyone who wanted to immigrate there from poor parts of Africa, etc.
2. I don't think it's fair to the ones who've tried to play by the rules to just let the "cheaters" cut in front of them.

Just my thoughts.

The whole world hates the USA and complains when we do anything, but they still come here and make a life for themselves. Sounds pretty two faced to me.
