Laughing at the bottom-dwelling Kansas City Royals might be a thing of the past. KC has recently taken 2-3 from Boston @ Boston, 2-3 from Detroit @ Detriot and swept the Rangers. And think about this...there are at least 6 or 7 other teams in the majors with even or worse records.

Does Moore have the solutions to turn this team around? Looks like a good start to me.

Yeah, he is leading KC into better days. If KC played in any other division in baseball they wouldn't be in last place. Heck if they were in the NL West or NL Central they would only be 9 games out of first and would still have a really small shot at making the playoffs. Moore managed to improve the pitching with a group of guys that nobody else really wanted or that he had to overpay to get, but you've gotta start somewhere. And since they've been so bad in recent years, they've got a lot of good young talent in AAA. I think his biggest challenge is going to be keeping the core of the team together in a few years and not losing important guys to free agency like KC did with Beltran, Dye, Damon etc.. If he can do that and manage to improve the back end of the starting rotation, KC could be looking at a real move up the standings over the next couple seasons.
