Yes, upfront fees is a sign for scam.
You have to be wary of this, specially of sites that promise too high returns on doing virtually nothing. This can't be possible.

If they are asking for a fee upfront, it is most certainly a Ripoff.
They are very few (if any) legitimate online data entry jobs.
