That's a lot of fish even for a tank that size. A peacock bass is so aggressive and large, it's hard to keep them with anything else and no doubt it would give the far more peaceful arowana fits.

There is nothing a peacock bass won't eat if it will fit in the fishes mouth and once the peacock gets to about 2' and 12-15 pounds, that's most anything smaller than it is.

Ditto MM on the peacock bass, but Chris, I answered this question for you yesterday, you were asking for "meaty" fish, now you want small to medium? Which one is it? Because in terms of size, that's going to change the answer. Any faster, and larger moving fish is going to disturb your Arowana to an extent, and I'm glad you have a 250 tank for it, becasue that is more then ample space for it.

I don't stress the catfish as it's a bottom feeder and shouldn't much bother anyone else until it gets very large, and it may then target smaller fish. Like MM said as well, you have numerous possibilities here, so if you are sure you want to move down to small and medium fish, I'll wait for your follow up to give you input on that, otherwise, please review the listings I gave you yesterday.

That combination of fish should be fine together. You could also keep other larger cichlids in there or one of the bigger plecos. Some good candidates might be an oscar or a pacu. These are both interesting, active and intelligent fish with great personalities that could stand up to a peacock bass and a silver arowana. Just one piece of advice, make sure you shield your heater. These kinds of big, rambunctious fish could easily break a submerged heater and electrocute your tank inhabitants.
