They need a 2/3 majority to really do anything, so they need to persuade more republicans, which isn't workking very well.
So, the lack of accomplishment can overall be traced back to GOP.

Not until the Republicans stop getting in the way! They had eight years to accomplish something, and they did nothing! Bush had a Rep. congress and senate, and what did they do?
Change the constitution umteen times, enact the Patriot Act! Oh, wow! A legal way to steal our right to privacy, illegal search and seizure! Such good things for America!
Lest we not forget the Homeland Security! Now there is an oymoron! How is legalizing Racial profiling keeping me sae! All that does is promote hatred that is already there, and making it worse! But one thing this administration does best is divert attention away from where they don't want it!
Carl Rove and company! Illegal wiretapping
Gonzales and his lies and firing of those federal judges, and then denying that he did so! HMMMM!
Anger over Bush's illegal war!
and now, selling arms to Saudi Arabia!
So, as far as Pelosi not accomplishing anything yet! I say Reps, get the hell out of the way and let some people who really care about this country get to work! Then you'll see all kinds of jack shixx!!!!

Well, there are three branches of government. There's the Legislative branch (The House and Senate) The Executive branch (The president) and the Judicial branch (The supreme court). It's hard for democrats to get things accomplished when they have polar views than most of the republicans and they have to win the votes first and then and only then can they do anything. Oh yea, and then there's the bull-headed president that likes to veto everything that the democrats win in congress. Oh and also there's the bull-headed "supreme court" that has a whole bunch of Bush's appointees following his views. So my answser is: Probably not but that's because they don't really have the power. They're being overruled by the other two government branches if they can even get the majority in their own branch.

No the biggest thing we should look at is how the earmarks have really expanded to the levels they were under Tip O'Neil and past Democratic speakers. Look at the recent bill that Murtha stuffed with a million dollar commitment to a program that does not exist. Guess he is back to the Abscam Democrat the press knows and loves.

The public has taken notice for their lack of cooperation with President Bush, evidenced by the lowest approval numbers ever. Take heart. They will be gone in 2008, when GOP rule returns. Then we can undo the damage these two years will have caused.

WHEN you start calling names, means you are angry, and an angry person cannoty think rationally, you need to cool down and vote/preach as you may deem fit, and then let the elected decide, have faith in your country's system.
