more than likely by the sounds of it. i suffer from depression and have been given anti-depressants in the past they are good short term but i decided to come off them myself after a year. As for feeling stupid... DONT its normal in situations like yours to suffer from depression and your G.P should be fully understanding about it . good luck and chin up

No doctors degree here, just experience. One the symptoms of depression is wanting to sleep all the time (or a lack of it). Another one is losing interest in everything you do. Sounds to me that you fit both of these and with your miscarriages (I'm sorry), that right there gave you something to be sad about. Also, your body could still be hormonally unbalanced. You have nothing to feel silly about going to the doctor for. Depression is nothing to be embarassed about and if there is help out there, take it. A therapist is a wonderful outlet too...having someone totally unbiased to spill your guts too is a therapy everyone should have (experience talking). Good luck and be happy!

for god sake woman why would you feel silly about being depressed didn't you just say you had two miscarriages apart from all the emotional stress involved with that theres all the physical changes in your body as well your hormones will be up and down all over the place, a lot of woman get low before there period because of hormones so why would you not think you wouldn't get depressed after a shock like two miscarriages. maybe youre not depressed just feeling sad and unhappy but go to your doc before you do get that way, its sound like classic depression to me (have been depressed so know a bit about it)

What it sounds like you have is normal reactive depression, you've had a hard few months and its got you down. If you look into the DSM 4 index it covers details for the actual medical classification for depression and other mental illnesses. Talk to your doctor its better than going through it alone.

Yes, you sound depressed. You've been through quite a bit. It's pretty common to be depressed, so don't feel silly going to see your gp. I bet lots of people have gone to see their gps about depression.

You have really good cause to be depressed.

First start taking a powerful multivitamin with all of the B's and plenty of Iron in them. You have lost these from your body during these miscarriages. Try to get your health built up and you will begin to feel better. You are most likely anemic.

Make an appointment with your OB GYN, you would probably feel better.

I am sorry about your miscarriages.

Have you talked to anyone about how you are
feeling?

Sometimes that can be of help, and talking
to a OB-Gyn letting the Doctor know how
you are feeling can help, and hopefully you
will be given advide/suggestions.

i dont think that you have depression. Although you might. If you are haveing any suicidal thoughts or thoughts of doing self harm go se a doctor! Once you start cutting or doing something of the like it is much harder to stop. If it is worrying you you should go see a doctor because you could cause problems if you neglect to go to the hospital.
plz go see someone!!
