So do you define yourself by what you do rather than what you think and feel?

What we do is often plagued with social and family pressure or influences.. sometimes we are forced into things we do not want, or we are not allowed to do things we do want. Our actions don't really speak of who we are.

Yes! I strongly believe that wat we do is more significant than what we think. We might be able to think great but our ability to express that thought is what would affect our world. No matter how atruistic u are at heart unless u actually show someone how caring and nice u are, no one would ever believe that u care even though u say u do. People are more interested in action rather than rare emotions and feelings or views. Ur question might be based on pple whose actions dont actually reflect thier motive or thier true thoughts. Even yet what they did would still be more significant than what they think or their true motives. In our community and in a world where pple judge only by wat they see then action is much more significant. But if we broading this discussion to a more spiritual level meaning God and Man, thoughts and motives would be more significant than actions.. This is because God sees man not just from their actions but also from their heart. U might want to do sometin really nice but u end up hurting someone. The person might never understand but God would and ur motives and thoughts would be more significant to Him. But for the person u hurt that person would see the hurt and not the motive except u explain it to the person. So in conclusion i dont think u should bother wat is significant to others but wat is significant to u. If u take ur conscience seriously ur thought would be of great significance to u. And if u are one who acts out ur dreams, ur thoughts are also going to be very significant to the community at large. But as i said ur actions would always be more significant to the community cos wat they see might not be what u think

an action is always more important than to think of an action.

I think I want a job thus you have nothing in return
I have a job you have friends, money, some way to spend your time.

I think I want to clean my home you still have a messy home
I have cleaned my home now clean countertops and floors, clothing where you can find it, right at the tips of your fingers

I think I want to kill someone, that someone is still alive - would it matter? who knows would it have been better if he were dead - who knows

I have killed someone - you have thus lost your love for humanity, you have turned your back on your lifelong beliefs and cannot go back. whats done it done.

of course...havent u ever heard "actions speak louder than words" and it is very true. people have no idea what u think in ur head so they judge u by ur actions. you could be a really nice person but have all these bad thoughts in ur head but no one would ever know and vice versa

What we think is the ROAD
what we do is the DESTINATION

Even in our DICTATED actions,
thoughts are more significant
as it pre-determines our direction

A person is always JUDGED based upon his actions
but
dont we, then, question purpose & motive in our VERDICTS
