Hello again ãããã¼, I know maybe that's not what you had in mind but if you want some real cool older genuine punk I'd say check out Patti Smith, The Clash, Sex Pistols, L7, The Slits, Iggy Pop, Pixies, Sonic Youth, Dead Kennedys and Velvet Underground.
Heck all of you's should check it at one!
It's different but they're the originals!

I don't know what skateboard punk is but I can name real punk bands. The Clash, Sex Pistols, Generation X, P.I.L, X Ray Spex, Buzzcocks, Dead Kennedy's, Anti Flag.

A lot of the skaters in my time listened to bands like Nofx, Bad Religion and Social Distortion. Most of the skaters I know though are into Slayer and Iron Maiden, stuff like that though.

Lets get old school on ya...Suicidal Tendencies...Dead Kennedy's...P.I.L.(jonny rottens band after Pistols)..Sex Pistols...Circle Jerks...MC5...N.Y. Dolls...The Stooges(Iggy Pop)...The Slits...The Misfits...there's an old school start for ya!! All pre 90's...when punk was still uncool,not some record companies "version" of punk.(yeah I know I left out The Clash,you said "good sk8 Punk Rock")...hehe...there are plenty of others "Siouxsie &The Banshees"(could never spell her name right for years now!!) "The Screams"... "Black Flag"(pre Henry Rollins& after he joined)hope this helped !!

Check out Ill Scarlett, Alexisonfire, Billy Talent, Social Code, Silverstein...all are huge Canadian bands who are making they're way down to the States...I promise you won't regret it!
