I am so sorry.. I totally understand. I use to be bed ridden for 2 days every month during my cycle. Try taking pain medicine that works for menstral cramps. It didn't help me, they finally corrected it with birth control.

The pain comes from the contracting of the uterus to expel your lining which happens every month until you get pregnant. It is menstral cramps.

Hi, Honey. I'm with you. This is what works for me:

1. Give up on trying to do much today.
2. Lie down with a heating pad on your stomach. The heat will help diffuse the pain.
3. Take Midol (I know, I know, but it really works)
4. Eat some soda crackers or bread to help settle your stomach.
5. Find a fun distraction (I do crossword puzzles because then I can still be sitting or lying down.)
6. Avoid anything that is overly emotional including movies and TV programs.
7. Wrap up in some "comfort" clothes. I have sweatshirts just for this time. They are comfortable, and do not emphasize the terrible bloating.
8. Take a Vitamin B complex. This will help with the bloating, and you'll feel better about yourself.
9. Keep telling yourself that this will end!

Good luck!

i used to have the worst cramps and nausea and vomiting when i first started my period. From 12-14, for the first 2 days of my period i had to stay home because i was so weak and in pain and throwing up.

My mom talked to my doctor, and he put me on the pill. It regulated my cycle, decreased my period pain and flow, and completely abolished my nausea. I only had to be on them for a year, and when i discontinuted, my periods remained less painful and little to no nausea.

If your period is really dabilitating, talk to your doctor about low hormone birth control pills that can possibly help.

try lying on a heating pad i find it really helps. also baths are good and genrally blood stops coming out when you take baths or at least it does for me. Also there are many drugs that help with craping and pains. also make sure to drink lots and lots of water. mixing it with a little apple juice makes it go down easier so you could also try that.

hope this helps
