It is unfortunate, but I have seen this to be the case as well. I always give appropriate answers to questions and cannot understand others not doing the same. If a question doesn't interest you or seems absurd for some reason, there is no need to answer it rudely - just don't answer it.

Well, the subject matter of that survey was a little sensitive to some. People are not comfortable blabbing about their underwear to strangers. That is why the responses were so poor.
