YA is filled with bashers today. I have seen ridiculous generalizations, absolutely false facts, outright lies and some of the most outrageous claims on here today. The favorite targets seem to be GLBT folks, black people and females.
And meanwhile, while we spend our time battling this hatred the serious, sometimes fatal issues facing our world go unignored. Do these haters even realize how immature, unintlligent and uniformed they look?

John S: What makes you think I'm a homosexual? If you claim to be a Christian, is that how you believe Christ would have responded to my question?

You folks may be correct about the folks on YA today. Sadly though, I have also encountered some who have no qualms about showing their hate face to face and in the open. Not all of them are kids.

Jyse: In a perfect world I would agree we need to work together. As it is now, I cannot work with the haters as I do not wish to be associated with them in any way. I can refuse to waste my time with them though, difficult as it is to ignore them. That is what I'm trying to do.

Of course they don't see themselves as we see them. People rarely do, When the people post the kind of things that you are referring to I think they are one of two kinds of people. People who truly believe what they are posting and I have pity for those people and those who want to cause a stir between people, I have just thought of a third kind of person the one who posts not to cause strife but to get people thinking about what they think and to maybe change some minds, The people who post to stir up trouble don't have a life that is fulfilling to them and the only way that they can get the attention that they crave even if it's anonymous is to get people upset. That way they can sit back and say Hey I caused that for a short time someone is giving them the attention that they are unable to get in the rest of their lives. I think for those it's pathetic and sorry that they can't find a more constructive way to deal with the situation. And since this form is open to anyone with access to the net you will get people who have any number of agenda's. So you pick and choose who's replies that that you want and which ones you believe.

I completely agree... I find it pointless to attack each other and I try my hardest to not do it. There are bigger issues in the world that if we actually united we could do something about it. We have the power to make change, but the in fighting is what holds all of us back. If we could look past our differences, I think things like world hunger, diseases, and even the war that Bush started could all be ended. Or at least be giving a good step in the right direction. We need to unite, not fight... :)
Edit: I was just told my answer was too PC. But I believe what I wrote.. If we look past our differences and find our similarities the world would be a much better place. :)

Ignoring those that are just here picking fights for their personal amusement, the ones that really concern me are those that are so blinded by their own sense of moral superiority that they confuse "love" with "hate". My guess is that they view those that are beneath them as naughty children, and think they're practicing "tough love" by making their lives more difficult. What they fail to realize (probably because they don't care) is that a lot of kids- not just their naughty parents- are getting caught in the crossfire.
Of course, it's all a cover for their own selfishness and personal insecurities. It makes them feel better about themselves to point out the "sins" in others, and when you get down to the heart of their problems with various minority groups, it's all about money and what it might cost them to feed poor immigrants, offer domestic partner benefits to gay parented families, and offer a helping hand to single mothers. What I don't "get" is that if non-traditional and poor families are at such a disadvantage, and they care so much about kids, why do they penalize such families in favor of yet more special handouts reserved for "ideal" families that don't need them? Clearly, it's personal greed, morally justified by painting their victims as sinners.

I think most of them are kids and teens who think it's "cool" to hate; and no, they don't give a whit on how they appear to others because they have the anonymity of the Web.
If they are adults, they certainly have no life, no morals and no true ties back to the religion they say they have. It's easy to be hateful when you're not showing your true face. If they were out in the sunlight, I highly doubt they'd be saying the same things in public.

To answer your question, no they don't.
But this might make you feel better, most of the people don't even believe the crap they type. They do it to rile people up, or just to pass the time...
