I find it quite disturbing and emotion wrecking. Can I have a witness?

I dont think it's sad, I think it is interesting and a little funny...
The child was gonna be put in the adoption system.... so it saved him from a lot of things and the world got to live a perfect life vicariously through him. It gave people hope..... Rather than watching the news and awful things going on in the world they can turn to the truman show and be at peace. Truman doesn't know the pain of the real world. And in living in the world he gave the "real" world a sense of peace and reminder of life- that its not all war and pain and grief....

I think it's an interesting story.

I also think it's partially responsible for the veritable cornucopia of reality shows now proliferating our screens.

I tend to agree with you. Makes me wonder how much we're being manipulated like poor Truman.

it is definetly sad but also in some parts funny... i dunno i have mixed feeling about it
