I am going to be in London for a week this august. I was wondering if taking a 2 day trip to Seville (cheap flights available) is a good idea. I was thinking of touring Seville and also maybe pack a day tour to Malaga into it. Will it be too cramped a trip or is it do-able?

Not a good idea - I mean I took a 3 day package from Barcelona to Seville and even that wasn't enough to see all the city had to offer...plus to get to Malaga from Seville is another 2 1/2 hrs (on land) so again you'll be eating quite a bit of time from Seville. Never mind that flight time to Seville from London is also about 2 1/2 hrs (plus the check in and all that stuff) - as they say in Spanish "no vale la pena."

Besides...I can assure you that with a week, you won't even have enough time to see all that London has to offer - so just enjoy as much as you can of that great city and leave Spain for another trip.

Are you willing to miss 1/3 of your already short trip to London?
Europeans would not even travel London - Seville for less than 3 days when they stay in London for months.
If you want to leave London, do a day trip within England.

And I think that finding a cheap flight on this short notice is going to be hard anyhow.

It is like someone going to New York for a week and take a side trip to Dallas taking up half the time he has planed to be in NY.

I'd say it would be more fun to stick to Sevilla, and there's plenty to see and do. Get an a/c room in the summer if you can afford it! If you go to Malaga, it's a 2.5 to 3 hour train ride. It's also a big city, but by the sea. You could fit in a day trip to Ronda (Look it up online)with a 3 hr. train each way, but a 3 hr. trip each way is a lot for a daytrip. Cordoba is a very easy daytrip from Sevilla, or try some of the white villages up in the hills of Andalucia, like Arcos de la Frontera.
I fell in love with and in Sevilla!
