...Black stuff? Theres magazines, channals, tv shows, college funds, etc all devoted to black people. If someone made a white college fund or a white tv channel, theyed be discriminated as racist. Its a double standard.

He's a true story:
When my daughter was 3 I went to buy her a doll for Christmas. The store (K-Mart) only had "white" dolls, I asked an employee about that and her response to me was "It's just a doll!" I then asked her would she buy HER daughter a "black" doll because it was ONLY a doll? She got offended.
My point is EVERY race has the right to have something that holds up their culture! Whether it's magazines, tv shows or anything else. If that culture want to maintain its status, what's the problem?
I could have answered this question nasty and said something about "whites" having the KKK and the blacks yelling about racist actions, but that's not the point I'm trying to make.
Instead of "hating" embrace other cultures and learn from them. This country was built on ALL races!

There is still the notion that blacks need to have an identity all their own. That's not a bad thing. There was so much persecution done to blacks in the past, that they still feel the need to assert themselves. Whites have always been in control. Colleges, TV, media, all have a large representation of white people and a small representation of blacks. This forces a continuation of blacks need to have a media and social identity all their own.
On the flip side of that, discrimination in this country based on race is almost a thing of the past for blacks. Whites however, are discriminated against all the time. This is what causes the white backlash that you are quoting in your question. Only with the elimination of outdated policies of quotas in hiring and affirmative action, will both races be able to be free. Colleges should admit students based on performance in the previous grades and standardized tests that reflect upon learning, not culture. Employers should hire based on qualification, not race. I was around for the civil rights movement of the 1960's. The sort of discrimination we faced in those days is not around today. Bureaucracies like the NAACP continue to find racism where there is none, simply to justify their existence. They are no longer needed. If a black person really thinks back on the past, and to the present, they will understand what I am saying. Sure there are isolated cases of racism, but they get so much media coverage, that it looks like there is more. Racism against whites gets little or no coverage. Take the Duke Lacrosse players. When it looked like rich white kids raping a black dancer, the media was all over it. When every charge was dropped because she lied and was really a hooker, and the prosecutor was a bigot against rich white kids, there was little or no coverage. Racism is still a touchy subject. Both sides have opinions. But look at where we are now. How many mixed couples were around in the 1960's? Even in the Hippie, Free Love era, whites dated whites and blacks dated blacks.
Back to your question. Black media will be around as long as there is a market for it. Supply and demand. It's not racism, its economics.

There are some motives why human beings have been persecuted for not being in a undeniable faith. One being the church homes wanted capability. yet another being They wanted greater funds (that continues to be plausible in those situations additionally), and church homes have been somewhat useful and controlled with the aid of the corrupt and likewise mixed with politics..that's a terrible mixture... i'm non secular yet I have no subject with atheists yet that doesn't recommend they might desire to be compelled to have faith something they don't % to/or won't be in a position to have faith in any respect. in undemanding terms the hard might tension that on somebody.

I am black and just moved to the southern part of the US. You wouldn't believe the segregation that still goes on in the US. There is so much unjustice it's ridiculous. There's a black girl who was put in jail for shoving a janitor at school. It wasn't until about a year later that she was released. They sentenced her to 7 years in jail. Now tell me if that isn't racist. There was also a black man who had been in jail for years and they just found out that it was mistaken identity. Racism huh?? Please be careful with what you say because if you're not black then you don't understand what we have to go thru. I believe that God created us all to be equal. It's man who created segregation. God Bless!

None of the stuff you list would exist if there wasn't a market for it.

So it obviously sells and makes a profit my man.

Frankly I'd write a magazine especially for lesbian one-legged women from Tasmania if I thought I could turn a profit out of it.

I thought they were only 10% of the population. Doesn't that make them a minority??

P.S. Yes, they are still discriminated against. Just like women are. You quite often can't notice it unless you ARE one of them.

This is true.

What I dont understand is why Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson still exist. I truly think that they belief they are going to create a perfect world for blacks. The truth is, that will not happen for ANYBODY.

We need to stop coddling people and let them stand on their own and make something of themselves. It does not help a race of people when you lower the standards for them to get into school, graduate, and get a job. This doesnt help them, it makes them lesser members of society.

The most famous and important blacks of history were amazing because they succeeded with everything stacked against them, and to the "white" man's standards. Why does lessening things now help anyone?

Martin Luther King didn't fight for Black people to have more rights than other, he fought for equal rights, and we are past that.
