Why do so many people think you're being serious? :(
someone else said play with him, get him to email you back and forth.
I did that for a while with a scammer, it went on for weeks and weeks. I even registered one of those free PAYG simcards and the guy phoned me up, really irate that my fax with my bank details hadn't reached him yet (But I've sent it 4 times now - are you sure you're not scamming me??)
In fact, respond and keep the replies logged here!

Don't send him a dime. You are being scammed.
I get the same emails many times a week. They make for a funny read with all of the spelling and grammar errors.

its a scam but a good chance for a bit of scambaiting. What you need to do is reply asking for more info, and then basically just send them round in circles, make them do silly things to try and convince you they are for real. But never actually give them any money or your name, address, phone number etc just keep them busy so hopefully you can waste as much time of theirs as possible. Its all good fun

As everyone has advised, this is a scam! Don't fall for it. If you do, the $10,000 is just a drop in the bucket to what you will lose.
Do you think you'd like living on the street and asking for handouts?

Do not send them anything! It is definitely a scam. There are groups of people from Nigera mostly creating these scams in order to get your personal infomation so they can sell you to other people. If you do not believe me google the "Nigerian Scams" or go onto to Oprah's website. She had a whole program on this, and and investigation. I repeat...DO NOT SEND THEM ANYTHING!

DO NOT EVEN REPLY:
This is a huge scam and you will never see the money. There are several websites devoted to informing consumers to scams like these. My favorite is www.clarkhoward.com

Scam!!!! You must be mad to even think about it, they'll steal your money and you'll never see it again.
Think about it, why would they give a perfect stranger $10m for effectively nothing, they'll rip you off.
Please don't be naive enough to think anyone will give you something for nothing! and worse don't trust anyone you don't know qith you money or bank account details.
Delete the email and don't ever open a similar one again!
