Nothing will eat blue green algae(actually a cyanobacteria and not algae). Your best bet is manual removal and then either covering the tank completely on all side for 3-5 days, or dosing erythromyacin for a week. You have to watch your ammonia and nitrite levels with the erythromyacin, it can sometimes damage your bio-filter.

Otocinclus are my preferred algae eaters. I have a fully planted aquarium and these little guys do a terrific job of keeping not only the green algae in check, they also seem to be the only ones that eat the hairy black algae too.

Amano shrimp and cherry shrimp are good algae eaters, they'll eat it all. If you don't have any plants a big snail will do the trick too.

saltwater? if so, that alge is probably coralline...which you want in your tank...especially if your lucky enough to have blue and green...rather than plain old pink.

anyways, if you want, some turbo snails could make short work of it...about 1 snail per 3 gallons.

(so a 10gal tank needs 3-4 snails)
