Why are just about all the trolls on YA male?

Not just here in the homo section. But also in the women's studies and race sections.

I'm not talking about the people who are simply putting forth a conservative or traditional viewpoint.

I'm talking about the people who come to these sections just to insult women/homos/people of color. They are almost 100% male. Why is that?

Men (especially white men) have been taught that they are superior, and they act like it every chance they get.

Of course women can have aggression too but the ones on here are more subtle. In fact one female homophobe has a GLBT TC badge and is at level 5 most obvious trolls never make it to level 2

I don't know, but this isn't the "homo section", it's the LGBT section. I find your wording offensive.

How do you know they're male? They could have male avatars, but they could be females (or vice versa).

One of the worst trolls in the history of Y!A was a woman, she was a former crank addict and had severe brain problems. But most of them are men.

Sometimes he even picks a feminine avatar to show his true inner self. :o)

I think that women tend to be more accepting of homosexuals. I think that men see gay men as degrading to them, in some twisted way. Like me having sex with my BF is going to shrink thier penis or something.
