It sounds like normal discharge (as long as you're not itching or burning down there from it). Is it more than what a pantiliner can hold? At 16 I don't think you need to see a gynecologist but if it would make you feel better to have it checked out then you should go.

I have always had discharge before and after my period, which sucks because that means pretty much something is coming out all the time. I have had yeast infections and they itch terribly. If it is not itchy or I know this is gross if it is not foul smelling I would say it is just the way you are, and you may need to use panty liners. I actually wear a pad a few days before I am supposed to start and a few days after I have stopped. I am 34 and started my period at 9 and that is just the way I have always been. If you are sexually active you may want to get it checked sometimes STD's can cause discharge and there are STD's that are not severe like Herpes and can be treated with a prescription. I had one that mimicked a yeast infection, turns out my boyfriend (now husband) was a carrier it did not affect him, the doctor gave us both meds and my yeast infection problems went away. But like I said I have always had a lot of discharge, but I have also always had heavy periods.

That is just your body's natural lubricant. It cleans out your vagina to keep bacteria from being in there and stuff like that. If it starts getting stinky than you probably have an infection and will need to see a doctor. I'm 16 too, and I have had discharge since I was 13. I went to a doctor about it and they said it was fine. It's only bad if it starts to smell. Sometimes I get a lot, and sometimes it's not very much, whatever you do, don't treat it like it's your period by using tampons. I use a small pantyliner everyday and that takes care of the problem.
I wouldn't worry about it. The biggest issue with it is that it will be annoying for a long time. But it's nothing to be scared of.

It's very possible that you have a yeast infection, but you will need to see a doctor for confirmation before using any over the counter type medications. Make sure you eat a balanced diet, and drinking acidophilus milk or eating yogurt that contains live Lactobacillus organisms can also be helpful in keeping a balance. Cotton underwear is also helpful in preventing moisture from developing. Make sure after going to the bathroom that you wipe from front to back. Avoid use of any types of feminine sprays, talcs etc as they can also disrupt the normal balance. Also avoid any type of scented toilet paper. You can read more about yeast infections here

You produce a lot of estrogen. It is very normal and a liner and possibly birth control your doctor recommends to minimize this. If this is something that completely hinders your ability to be active in your day to day routine, I recommend making an appointment with your gyno, if you don't have one ,get one. Your body obviously developed earlier than most and even though you are not active sexually does not mean you don't need regular checkups...ask your gyno for the works!!

Really sounds like a yeast infection. They're so easy to get & easy to get rid of. It's normal & nothing to be embarassed about. I almost always get yeast infections when taking antibiotics... You can eat yogurt with active cultures to help prevent it, but it doesnt always work. Talk to your mom about it, or go see your doctor. You can buy yeast infection medecine over the counter now so it's really an easy cure. <3

It's probably nothing to really worry about, but i would go see your doctor or it could get worse. If it's a yeast infection don't feel bad, almost every female will get one in there life time. It's not rare and it's not something to be a shamed about. Good Luck and get it checked

well i had that before i got my period.... and i stilll get it, but its not as bad so if u keep getting it bad then yea see the gyno... but i read about and that is just like the waste from the vagina cause the vagina cleans it self off kinda.... its like when u wash ur hands and then excess dirt goes down the drain.... if it doesn't itch or something then i'd say thats it.... if its bad and itches see the gyno
hope i helped.... good luck

Sounds like yeast infection, but that should cause itching. Consult gyn. Could be some other infection.

Most likely a yeast infection. If you have never been diagnosed with one you should see your doctor. if you have you can use an over the counter yeast medicine. your doctor might give you a pill.
