If they can't be faithful, they lack dignity, respect, integrity, honesty and certainly cannot experience true love. They marry because they are fools. The people they marry are often lacking in self respect, and are thinking they can change him or that this is better than nothing.I find it hard to believe that they don't see the person as they truly are. OH the big surprise--he or she is a cheater.---certainly it is evident if you take everything into consideration and be honest about it.

It is not that they can not be faithful. It is that their partner gives them no reason to be faithful. When the one you love no longer shows love or give affection, a person with any feelings at all misses it and after a certian amount of time, finds it elsewhere. The victim is the one who cheating, not the one being cheated on. Once people realize this, you will see a decline in the amount of infidelity. It is very hard to remain faithful to the one you love when they give you no reason to be, and yet very hard to leave because of the love you feel even though you are being neglected physically and emotionally.
So, why do people marry someone they don't love or have no intention of satisfying emotionally or physically??

Maybe it is because they want that someone to change them? But I doubt it. They just want their cake and eat it too. They can have someone at home and someone on the side. They are truly snakes. People today do not think of marriage as a life long commitment. It is not a game. I find it very saddening.

I don't think anyone ever goes into a marriage thinking about being unfaithful. You certainly aren't in that frame of mind when you get married. Its just something that happens later, regrettable or not.

Agree with Linda B...... they want to have it all. And I know of some people who just can't picture themselves being alone, they complain and are not willing to put up with the responsibility they are acquiring BUT they learn to live with it only in order not to be by themselves. It's really sad but true. In some cultures, they do it only because they're expected to... a 40-yr-old man who hasn't even been engaged is "suspicious", you know (i.e. he might be gay)........ so they do it only to please the social forms. SAD!!!

No idea. Maybe they like the feeling to doing something wrong? Or maybe they don't believe in marriage, meaning "faithful to each other".

Because they marry someone who will put up with their crap. This way, the person is never, ever alone.
