My draft (ESPN.com) has about 16 players, with 2 or 3 starting RBs every week.

With the Chiefs in the holdout and everything, do you think LJ is worth the risk in the 2nd round if he falls?

By the way, Priest Holmes will probably split carries with the starting HB.

WITHOUT A DOUBT!!

There should be no way that Johnson falls to the second round, especially in a giant league like that. Playing in a 16 team league sucks because there are not enough quality players to go around. You really have to hope you are lucky enough to pick up one or two players that end up having surprise breakout years (like Colston last year).

Consider Johnson a safe bet anywhere after the top 5 picks. He is going to be on the field this year and will put up numbers. If nothing else, he needs to be out there showing other teams in the league that he deserves the payday he is asking for.

Priest Holmes is virtually no threat to Johnson. Priest's best chance would be if Johnson did hold out a significant amount or the Chiefs traded him away, because then Bennett and Holmes would probably share the duties. Holmes is too similar to Johnson to be used as a "change of pace" back, and he is no longer on the same level as Johnson, so he won't steal the starting spot.

LJ is 100% worth the risk. He is among the best 3 rb's in the league and dont worry, the chiefs will give him what he wants. Priest Holmes is no longer the elite runner he once was. He is out of football shape and has a very high likelihood of getting injured once again. No team in their right mind would discard LJ ; he is not old. The only problem is the fact that he wants a 5 year deal. It will be resolved soon. The whole Holmes thing is just a ploy. DONT BE FOOLED!

Head-to-Head league? If so, then Larry Johnson won't fall to the second round. So what if he holds out a little? It won't be all season, if he even misses a regular season game at all. The Chiefs MUST get LJ in the lineup, and they know it. Meanwhile, you HAVE to take the best running backs you can get as soon as you can get them. Priest Holmes has not played in two years, is old, and is trying to come off of major surgery. He won't last more than a couple of weeks, even if LJ doesn't play. So here is what is going to happen: someone in your league is going to end up with Rudi Johnson or Joseph Addai because they were afraid to be without LJ for a week or two, and those guys will be solid, but then someone else will end up with LJ, the second best back in the league. Is it going to be you?

There are always holdouts during training camp. He'll get in sooner or later, or he'll be shipped somewhere else to play. Either way, if anybody lets him out of the first round they're dumb.

As far as Priest Holmes is concerned, he's injury prone and won't take too many carries from Johnson. I'd pick him up as a handcuff just in case though.

Unless you had the first or second pick in the draft - If LJ fell to the 2nd round of the draft, that would mean that you were an idiot for passing on him in the first round. LJ should still go no lower than 4th overall in ANY fantasy football league. If he does, then you are playing with amateurs at the top, and I would win your league easily.

There is no way he falls to the second round, but if it happened yea it would be worth it. LJ should go in the top 4 picks though realistically. He won't be splitting carries with Priest in Green Bay. He may get traded if he doesn't lower his demands.

If you have a late 1st rd pick and LJ is still on the board.. and you have to start 2 or 3 rbs a week.. I would jump at it right away..

He wont hold out the whole season.. If any games

LJ wont fall to the second round, if he does that is the biggest steal ever

Holmes wont end up on the Chiefs, he is just going back to get more $$ then get dumped to a different team. It's a ploy to get LJ to end his hold out.

YES he is look at what he did the last time Priest and him split carries. he ran for over 1000 yards in only 8 games. he will be real good when he either comes back or gets traded

If he fell in the second round you pick him up because he is still a good RB who gets carries by the goal line.
