I am a normal eater. Our bodies are made to be omnivorous - eat both meat and fruits/vegetables/grains.... If you are feeling guilty about eating meat, think about why your feel that way. Is it because the animals you eat don't get a happy life? Then maybe switch to organic meat where the animal lives on a farm. If you don't want the animal to die at all, then you can consider becoming a vegetarian. You need to make sure to eat healthy and get your protein from somewhere though - like beans and nuts.

I don't eat meat. I have been doing this for 13 years and I am very healthy. I am a thin and I don't get sick (knock wood)! If you do it right its a great lifestyle. Give up red meat first, then work your way to chicken. You can try it gradually to see if you like it.

Note: There is a lot more to being a vegetarian then eating just salads. The people who posted otherwise should really educate themselves on the subject. I agree its not for everyone but I don't think people should comment on things they know nothing about. I do not understand the hostility toward people who choose not to eat meat.

Im a non-vegetarian. There is no reason not to eat meat. Its the circle of life. Not eating meat doesnt make much a diffrence. Other animals will always eat meat, its in their diet they cant help it. You cant eat just vegies and fruit, its not healty you need meat, it has plenty of protine. Animals are there so we have a source of food. If we stop eating meat then the population of animals would grow so much. Dont feel guilty, its life

Good question.. I eat meat. I also sometimes feel guilty eating meat. I like eating meat but it depends on where it came from. Too many things (vegitables and animals alike) are injected with growth hormones. If that doesnt bother you then I would say eat on. Think of it this way....if you wont eat it....someone else will.

I am a non-vegetarian. I love meat! I don't eat very large quanitities at a time, but I can't imagine not having meat in my diet. I don't know why you feel guilty. God gave us the animals to protect, but also to eat. We shouldn't kill animals for any other reason except for food.

FINAL THOUGHT: Through the design of creation of happenstance or evolution (which is a different argument, for another time) I am at a certain place in the food chain, as is the rabbit. So as a result I will allow the rabbit to eat his food, and I will in-turn eat the rabbit.

I'm vegetarian because I don't like the taste or texture of meat. It's just nasty. Factory farming (and the cruelty involved) is another factor for choosing to be vegetarian.

There's no right or wrong answer. But, people like to think their way is the "right" way. It would be nice for so many to finally realize that it's a choice. Simply a choice.
