1) If numbers are "consecutive", then the difference between a number and the next one is 1.

2 and 3) Even numbers (and odd numbers) come every "two". The difference between any consecutive even number is 2 (for example 18 and 20). The difference between any consecutive odd number is 2 (example: 127 and 129).

In all your problems, x seems to represent the first number of the consecutive set. So, for example, the second number of the set (in problem 1) will be x+1.

If you have the set {1, 2, 3}, the first 3 consecutive integers, and if x = 1, then 2 = x+1.
